In this class the children will be introduced to the exciting world of Art. They will have the opportunity to use a range of media for the very first time and immerse themselves in creative exploration, learning about fabulous artists from the past and contemporary artists working right now! We aim to ignite a passion for art as well as their curiosity about the wider world.
Children are encouraged to have a go, try new things and take artistic risks in a creative space where there is no such thing as a mistake. Each session the children will be guided through an exciting project using a range of techniques in order to develop a love for making and creating art. We regularly run Arts Award Discover as an optional add-on if you would like your child to achieve their certificate with us.
PLEASE NOTE We do currently have a long waiting list for this class. As the demand for this class is so high we also run this as a pay-as-you-go on the first Sunday of each month. You can book this in our 'Holiday Workshops' area. When tickets are available you will be notified through our mailing list - so please subscribe to be informed. When your child reaches the age of 7 you will be automatically removed from the waiting list, if you want to remain on this list please email me at this time.
Meraki Create classes are £15 per 50 minute session. This is a tutor led session and each week there will be a short intro or demonstration to get your children inspired and ready to get stuck in!
Parents or guardians are required to stay, we have a seating area set up for you, so please relax in our studio - or you like, you are very welcome to sit with them!
If you would like to join us for a taster class, we do offer a pay-as-you-go option on your very first session. This way you can test the waters and see if your child likes it before making a commitment – we’re sure they will! After the initial taster, you will be required to sign your child up for the remainder of the term (approximately 12 weeks)
Please note that we have limited places available as we will only be taking a maximum of 14 pupils per class.
All of the materials and equipment are included in the price.
