Artsmark

We stand for high quality Art and Design education

We are proud to announce that of November 2021 we are official Artsmark partners.

Teachers at Meraki art school are all experts in their fields. As an Artsmark partner we are here to develop and support long term relationships with schools working towards achieving or developing their provision for visual arts . We are passionate about supporting settings to help develop and embed a quality art curriculum for your people.

How we can support you

Working with us as an Artsmark Partner supports your setting in offering a wide range of high quality arts and cultural activity, with a particular focus on visual arts, as part of your curriculum offer. We will work with you to raise the standards of your art provision, providing you with effective teaching strategies, relevant subject knowledge and lots of ideas that you can take away to implement immediately into your KS1 & KS2 curriculum.

There are a number of ways we can support your school’s Artsmark journey:

  • Group / school visits
  • Bespoke artist-led projects
  • Input into medium-term planning across KS1&2
  • Guiding you through your Arts Award
  • Teachers’ CPD and INSET workshops

With more than 20 years’ experience in the leading Art and Design across primary education, our teachers run regular virtual events to support both Early Career Teachers as well as experienced school leaders in the teaching of visual arts, both upskilling them and providing them with inspiration and ideas to implement straight into the classroom.

Example Workshops include:

  • Drawing – upskilling and building confidence
  • Exploring Colour
  • Art history in the art room; how to include works of art into the art classroom and the wider curriculum from the comforts of your classroom. (online and in person)
  • Masterclasses in clay projects, painting and drawing
  • Planning for Progression
