Art Week Exeter 2023 was a whirlwind of creativity, inspiration, and community spirit, and we at Meraki, were delighted to be part of it this year. We teamed up with Guildhall Shopping Centre and had brilliant time unleashing our artistic talents during The Big Draw, leading the delightful Sip and Sketch event in the Guildhall amphitheatre and leaving our mark by painting a street art mural for the exhibition on Waterbeer Street. Join us as we reflect on the events, from engaging exhibitions to interactive workshops, the week was filled with inspiring moments that have left a lasting impact.

The Big Draw: Colour Our City

Teaming up with Guildhall Shopping Centre, we embarked on The Big Draw, an event that brought people of all ages together to celebrate the joy of colouring. Our hand-drawn colouring page featuring the iconic landmarks of our city, invited participants to unleash their creativity and add a rainbow of colours. It created a lasting testament of the artistic spirit and creative energy that thrives within our community.

Sip and Sketch: Unleashing Creativity

At our Sip and Sketch event, laughter and artistic energy filled the air. With pencils in hand and a drink in the other, participants embarked on a delightful journey of creativity and self-expression. The fusion of art and camaraderie sparked conversations, ignited inspiration, and created cherished memories. Sip and Sketch was a reminder of the power of art to bring people together.

Captivating Street Mural Exhibition

One of the highlights of Art Week Exeter was the captivating street mural exhibition hosted by Guildhall Shopping Centre on Waterbeer Street. This vibrant display showcased the work of local artists, I had the honour of having my work displayed, alongside renowned artists such as LP Edits and Joe Webster. The murals were a visual feast, capturing the imagination and showcasing the diversity of artistic expression. They mark the first stage of an exciting five-year mural project, which aims to celebrate and promote the work of local artists throughout the city.
